The 2023 Asian Conference for Young Scholars of Southeast Asian Studies (AYSEA) took place at the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica, Taipei, on September 11-12, 2023. The event featured a keynote speech by Professor Alan Hao Yang, Distinguished Professor of the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at National Chengchi University. Focused on “The Future Directions of Southeast Asian Studies in the Post-Pandemic Era,” the conference highlighted presentations and discussions by participants drawn from the SEASIA consortium’s network of young, mid-career, and senior researchers.
