On July 17, 2024, the Consortium for Southeast Asian Studies in Asia (SEASIA) successfully held its Governing Board and General Meetings. The consortium welcomed two new members: the College of Interdisciplinary Studies of Thammasat University and the Department of Southeast Asian Studies of the University of Malaya.
On personnel matters: Prof. Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao was appointed Chair, while Professors Koga Kei (Nanyang Technological University), Mieno Fumiharu (Kyoto University) and Antoinette Raquiza (University of the Philippines) were appointed to the Executive Committee. Prof. Mala Rajo (Malaya) and Prof. Alan Hao Yang (National Chengchi University) joined the Governing Board as rotating members.
