From Kansai International Airport (Osaka), you can reach Kyoto by means of shuttle minivan, airport bus, limited express train Haruka, and other private train lines.

It is recommended to book your accommodation as early as possible since Kyoto is a major tourist destination in Japan. Please note that hotels in Japan charge customers based on head-count.

Inside of Kyoto University there are a number of campus cafeterias and restaurants that are open for anyone. Meals (either for lunch or dinner) usually cost around 400-900 yen, depending on your own choice.
