UBD-IAS welcomes submissions of book proposal for “Asia in Transition” series
The Institute of Asian Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam inaugurated a new book series: Asia in Transition in 2013 with Springer.
Several books in preparation phase include Borneo Studies Network, Human Insecurity, South China Sea, Road less travelled.
UBD-IAS welcomes submissions of book proposal for the series.
This book series is an initiative run in conjunction with Springer under the auspices of the Institute of Asian Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The rapid rise of China, India, and Indonesia alongside the traditional economic powerhouses of South Korea and Japan will have critical political, economic, and social implications for the region in the 21st century.
This new series investigates in depth a variety of themes of continuity and transformation and pays close attention to a range of social, political, historical, economic, cultural and linguistic arrangements of selected regional players. By utilizing a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, the series will explore significant issues and challenges facing the region. It publishes original contributions from the social sciences, history, and cultural studies.
